About the London Veterinary Emergency Clinic

The London Veterinary Emergency Clinic is well equipped with the necessary equipment, supplies and pharmaceuticals to provide complete emergency medical, surgical, diagnostic, laboratory and radiography services. The Veterinary Emergency Clinic also runs a canine Blood Donor program.

The clinic has the facilities to hospitalize pets for intensive care  treatment, post-operative
 care, observation and medical therapy.

We are dedicated to providing intensive care facilities for the treatment of critically ill or
injured
pets. We also provide veterinary services for the prompt relief of other mishaps
or ailments that may
not be life-threatening, but are painful or cause for concern on the part of
the pet owner.

Patients are triaged based on the urgency of their condition. We appreciate your patience
and understanding that accidents and serious medical cases will be seen before non-life threatening
cases. We will attend to your pet as soon as possible in accordance to need.

Clinic Policy

After the initial examination and before any diagnostic testing is conducted, you will be given a treatment plan for your pet including an estimate of cost (costs for IV fluids, blood work, x-rays, etc).

The treatment plan and estimate will need to be signed. If your pet is sta
ying for overnight care at the clinic a 50% deposit is required. Usually we ask for half of the estimated cost for treatments as a deposit.

All services must be paid in full before patients can be discharged/transferred from VEC.

The policy enables the clinic to keep medical services at a high st
andard for a reasonable fee.
Acceptable forms of payment include: Cash, Visa, Mastercard & Interac.

Unfortu
nately, we do not accept cheques or American Express. (Consider Pet Insurance to help with your veterinary bills.)

An itemized receipt of fees charged and services rendered will be given to the owners upon picking up their pet,as well as full discharge instructions/transfer summary.

Your pets entire medical record is also faxed to your family veterinarian.

A Clinic veterinarian may request you take your pet to your
regular veterinarian upon discharge from the Veterinary Emergency Clinic. If you have not yet selected a veterinarian you may be asked to do so to ensure continuity of care for your pet. Click here for the location of clinics in the region.
